Restaurant De Cockpit has long been a local favourite, thanks in part to its unique position beside the runway at Breda International Airport.

When a complete refurbishment was announced, regular guests were eager to see the result.

Working with owner Sven Luijkx and brewer AB InBev, we developed an interior concept rooted in the location’s aviation history. Subtle references in materials, shapes and details tell the story without becoming literal.

De Cockpit is also the first restaurant in the Netherlands to fully integrate Leffe’s new brand identity. The beer brand’s warm colours and distinctive graphics are carefully woven into a cohesive, contemporary interior.

Any initial doubts disappeared as guests stepped inside. The design retains the familiar atmosphere they loved, with a fresh look that prepares this distinctive venue for the future.
